No matter how you have attained or you think you have attained in God, there is still that place for the thirst, there is still that place for more which is why someone like Paul who wrote so many books in the Bible will stop in Philippians 3:10 and give his profile; how that he was a Pharisee, he was circumcised on the 8th day, he was from the tribe of Benjamin, the son of the right hand; he didn’t lack any qualifications earthly speaking. He gave all his qualifications and what he was doing to please God, then he said, he counted everything as dung because of one thing, just so he could be able to press to know Him.

To Paul, all he had known, the books he had written, were nothing compared to the fact that there was a thirst seated deep inside him – that thirst was to know Him.

In Exodus 3, Moses been schooled in the art and science of Egypt, will leave Egypt because there was something inside him that was not right. He recognized the fact that he was hungry for something different, he recognized that what he was receiving was not what he was supposed to receiving, he recognized that there was something more, and in a quest to attain it, he left the palace.

The bible recorded that for 40 years, he was doing so many things; then he will stumble in the wilderness on an encounter with God in a burning bush, and God will speak to him giving him the mandate. Continue reading

The Testimony of Jesus

The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy.

Most of what we do in the Church as testimony is not testimony; we just come to brag about the things we believe God has done in us. Many times it wasn’t even the Lord who did them. Most times after cutting corners, you still do a thanksgiving in church, and you call it testimony; that’s not testimony. The word testimony is used very carefully in the Bible especially in the book of Revelation (Revelation 12).

The Bible spoke about the casting down of the dragon and how Michael and his angels fought and then there was worship in heaven and then they blessed the Lord, because the accuser of our brethren has been dislodged and there was no place found for him in heaven. So the Bible says “rejoice ye inhabitants of the heaven and woe to you the inhabitants of the earth”; we are not of the earth, hence it wasn’t to us.

For the accuser of our brethren has been cast down; he has come down with great wrath but they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the words of their testimony and they loved not their lives even unto death. What is their testimony? Later John who received that revelation in John 21; the Bible says when he saw the awesome things that the angel reveled to him, he fell to his face and wanted to worship him and then the angel said, “no!” don’t worship me; I am one of your brethren who has the testimony of Jesus. Then he said to John “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy – worship God alone”. Continue reading
