Pastor Chris Delvan’s Epistle to The God-Life Assembly during “Ways of the Spirit”.

Dear Sirs

Welcome to CAMPMEETING 2014!!!

I regret that contrary to my declarations last camp meeting I am conspicuously absent.
This I can assure you is not as a result of fickleness on our part, but the demands laid
On us by The Lord! Whose we are and whom we serve with our lives.

Although I am absent in the flesh yet I am there in the Spirit with you! Halleluyah.. I would by the same Spirit in whom you have been sharing and rejoicing remind you that the emphasis of the Spirit is that we in our discussions RECALL all that has been committed to us in times past and to meditate on them until the juice of it is settled in our Spirits. We must escape the leaven of irreverence and not fall where previous generations have!

We are not Gods best by achievement and personal qualification, but by His election. He kept us for last because He has a plan! He kept us for last because He has prepared an outpouring of grace for this end time to which He preserved us! He commanded His Angels to specifically look out for us for this time!! All the resources of heaven have been conditioned to prepare and finalize us for this time!!! We will overcome not as a generation of achievers, nor of strength but as one that made it by God ONLY!!! If we let Him bare us on wings as an eagle, if we let Him be seen, if we let our weakness and incompetence be read, as we ascribe greatness , wisdom and power to Him in all we do, then we would be the greatest generation! The best for this hour that is.

In a play of words I would that you note the word ‘generation’ is a GENE RATION that is to say: we are The ration of leadership gene for our time. We are the gene reserved for this time. We are specifically chosen for the TASK OF NOW! We are not an accident! We are carefully thought out ; each one of us! Deliberately selected as supremely reliable for the task at hand.

Extracts from Sunday Service (27th April 2014)

Pastor Chingtok Ishaku

The pattern of satan is to give you a form of shelter.
When it comes to walking with God, it has to do with trust, and the basis for trust are in knowing the following:
• There are somethings you know that I don’t know now (the depth of God that we are yet to uncover)
• God has your best interest at heart.
• God is able to do what he said he will do.GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA

Believers unfortunately do not doubt Gods’ ability but His willingness to act.
The Lord is faithful, he is able and he is willing.
Casting your care is not throwing it away, but an assurance and a complete knowing that he cares.

Kingdom Advance (23rd March, 2014)

Welcome to yet another beautiful service in God’s presence. Be blessed as you worship and fellowship.
Prayers led by Adams Ijegwa
Texts: Philippians 2:13, Luke 24:42&45
Lord, work in us both to will and to do for Your good pleasure.
Open the eyes of our understanding that we may know and see that which You are working in us and that we might receive grace to align with it.

We yield to the leading of the Spirit of God, permitting the kingdom of God to find expression in and through us.
Our hearts lift up a prayer to You, oh Father and we ask for Your Spirit to find free course in our midst and reveal the heart of the Father to us.
We thank the Father for Open Heavens as He quickens our hearts and revitalizes us for His presence this morning.

House of Judah in worship…

Every time I think about You,
Every time I read about You,
Every time I hear Your name, I start to smile.
Every time the sun starts shinning,
Every time the wind starts blowing,
Every time I feel Your anointing, I start to smile.
Let me take the time to say I love You.
Let me take the time to say I care.
I’m in love with Jesus,
And He’s in love with me (8x)

I’m in love with Jesus
And He is in love with me

All the way to Calvary,
He went for me,
He went for me,
He went for me.

All the way to Calvary,
He went for me,
He died to set me free.

I wanna sing of Your love,
Wanna sing of Your mercy,
I wanna tell the whole world,
Of the greatness of You.
So I’ll sing of Your love,
And I’ll sing of Your mercy,
And I’ll tell the whole world,
Of the greatness of You.

Jesus, we lift up Your name (4x)

We lift You up O God,
We lift You up O God,
Yes, we lift up O God,
Eh eh ya eh…

Praise Reports

Pastor Benjamin Menegbe: Psalm 34:1-22
Let the praise of the Lord continually be on your lip

Bukola Agbeniyi

You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand

I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise my soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You’ve never failed and You won’t start now

So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

I will call upon Your Name
Keep my eyes above the waves
My soul will rest in Your embrace
I am Yours and You are mine

I have felt so much pain in the recent past, both physically and mentally, but He has pulled me through it all, unscathed

Ebenezer Ameh

My one desire
That You be Praised (3x)

Casting crowns,
Lifting hands,
Bowing down,
Is what we’ve come to do

Adonai (3x)
You reign on high

Na You be my God ye
Na You be my father
Titilailai, I go serve You eh

Genesis 4:6-7
Every time you are faced with a challenge, don’t forget that there is room to do some more. There is so much space.  If you do well will you not be accepted?

Praise report

Hossana, Hossana
To the Lamb that was slain
Hossana, Hossana
Jesus died and rose again

Let the weak say I am strong
Let the poor say I am rich
Let the blind say I can see
Thats what the Lord has done for me

Its no longer I that Liveth
But Christ that liveth in me

We lift You up oh God
We lift You up oh God
Yes, we lift You up oh God

The Message

Pastor Mrs. Sarah Chingtok Ishaku

Text: Romans 8:1-14, Matthew 25:1-30, Ephesians 5:1-16.

It is cheaper to work in the spirit than in the flesh. Even though the law was not abolished, it’s not to be thrown away because it’s the basis on which God speaks to us. The spirit does not speak outside the word of God; so when you hear people preach or talk about God, you should be able to know the basis from which its coming, and if you can’t, its not God speaking.

Whatever the spirit of God is saying there is an anchor for it. Hence When someone is communicating the word of God to you or you think you are hearing God speak to you, you must be able to anchor it on the scripture. The law is the scripture and what the spirit does is that it picks what is relevant to you per time and brings it to your notice.

From the scripture we read in Matthew, all the ladies in the story were virgins but what distinguished them was that 5 were wise and the other 5 were foolish and the Bible describes wisdom and foolishness  thus:

Walking circumspectly is wisdom and foolishness is being ignorant of the word of God. As a believer, if you do not follow the path and the process that God has marked out for you, you will miss out on the will of God for your life.

When we hear about grace, we should not perceive it as mythical. His grace is available for us to be wise and walk in the spirit. we walk in the spirit by meditating on the word of God. We meditate on the word until it becomes apart of us, thus allowing us to understand better the language of the spirit.

Not every good work is a God work. We must learn to super impose and know where the lines are drawn. As good as our works can be, it will be all foolishness if we are not led by the spirit. Not everything that looks good is God. We all are entitled to hear the Spirit for ourselves. Therefore know/hear the Holy spirit for yourself and stop relying on people to tell you what God is saying about you/concerning your situation. Do not love the form of righteousness for the spirit is not liken unto shifting shadows. Walk in the light of the word and you will become acquainted with the speakings of the spirit. We must sit down and receive the word of God as it is, mediating also on it. By simply obeying, we can avert alot of troubles.

Father remove every desire of wanting to do it myself and  teach us to walk with you
Teach us to hear you
Make us perfect just as Jesus was
Help us to always yield to the Holy Spirit whenever he speaks
Help us to die in the flesh that your spirit may be alive in us; that it may be all about you
That I may be wise in every decision we take.

In Jesus name. AMEN
